Awesome Blogger Award

Hey Bookworms!! Today we are accepting our nomination for The Awesome Blogger Award! Thank you to Yesha @BooksTeacupandReviews for the nomination. She has a great blog, so be sure to go and check her out!

This Award was created by Maggie @ Dreaming of Guatemala and she said:

This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Include the reason behind the award.
  • Include the banner in your post.
  • Tag it under #awesomebloggeraward in the Reader.
  • Answer the questions your nominator gave you.
  • Nominate at least 5 awesome bloggers.
  • Give your nominees 10 new questions to answer.
  • Let your nominees know that they’ve been nominated!

Yesha’s questions:

First book you read.

Dawlyn: I have no idea, I’ve always been a reader! Probably something by Dr. Seuss. As a fluent reader, reading chapter books, probably Junie B Jones.

Krista: Like Dawlyn, I’m not completely sure what the first book I ever read was. The first books I actually remember reading and collecting were the Junie B Jones books.

-Genre you hate.

Dawlyn: I don’t have one.

Krista: I also do not have a genre I hate.

-What makes you comment on any blog post?

Dawlyn: I usually comment on a post if I had any kind of relatable interest in it at all while reading.

Krista:  I comment if I have an opinion on what was discussed in the post, or if I just really enjoyed reading the post and want to let the person know!

-How do you manage your followers? Do you read all the post of blogs you follow? (I’m curious, I find it very hard to read each and every post. It takes lot of time so I want to know how you guys are managing.)

Dawlyn and Krista: We wouldn’t say there’s much “managing” that goes into our followers. We choose to follow and follow back book related blogs and that’s about it. We definitely don’t read every post of all of our followers, and if there’s anyone out there who does, we applaud you and ask that you share your magic! We read what we can though and what interests us.

-Do you use digital planner or keep diary? (I need a paper taped on wall that stays in front of my eyes or else I’ll forget.)

Dawlyn: I use a physical planner and I don’t keep a diary.

Krista: I also keep a physical planner, and am slightly obsessed with planning and decorating my planner!

-What type of book/genre you find most difficult to review?

Dawlyn: I wouldn’t say there’s any genre that’s difficult for me to review in particular. I think the most difficult thing about reviewing any genre in general is writing a spoiler free review without spoiling.

Krista:  I agree with Dawlyn!

-Are you participating in reading challenges currently? Which one and where?

Dawlyn and Krista: We are both participating in the 2017 Popsugar Reading challenge! This is in conjunction with our goodreads challenge of reading 52 books this year.

-Memes / any bookish feature that you enjoy doing.

Dawlyn and Krista: We are doing the Calendar Girls Books feature hosted by: Flavia @Flavia the Bibliophile  and Melanie @MNBernard Books and are really enjoying it!

-Do you collect anything other than books?

Dawlyn: Yes! Movies!

Krista: Funko pops!

-Tell us something about yourself?

Dawlyn: My favorite food is mac n cheese!

  2. Great answers ladies.

If I were to write (another) book, it would probably still be paranormal or fantasy…though actually the idea I’m working on right now is actually a contemporary, so we’ll see what happens with that.

The reading challenge I set for myself every year, though I know it will change a couple times over the course of the year, is to read 75 books. This year I already changed that goal up to 100 books (but I’m currently at 90 books read, so that will probably change again soon).

    1. Krista: Wow you have already written a book?! I would love to check it out!! Best of luck with the book you are currently working on!!
Also, wow that is a lot of books! My goal this year is 52, and I’m not sure I’m going to make it lol but eventually I would love to work my way up to being able to read 100 or more a year!

      1. Yeah, it is called Project Death: Resurrection. I’m pretty sure I wrote up an honest review for it, wherein I gave my own book a 3 or 3.5 star rating. I love it, because it is mine, and I put a lot of work into it, but I also see that it could have been much better.
